Which is Better: Homemade Barbeque Sauce or Store Bought Barbeque Sauce?

If you are wondering if store bought or homemade barbeque sauce bis etter, you need to first ask yourself what your preference is. Many people prefer the second because they can add in the ingredients to their taste, plus they can actually get to have fun preparing the sauce, especially if they can get to do it together as a family.

Regardless of whether you agree or not, the kind of sauce you add to your barbeque can make a great difference to the taste of the final result. No matter how well you’ve prepared your pork, meat or poultry, without the right kind of sauce, it can still taste bad at the end. Adding your own homemade barbeque sauce can give your food the right taste because you have prepared it just the way you want.

Would you substitute your personal homemade barbeque sauce for one that is store bought? Not unless you are willing to compromise your taste buds! No doubts you can find a great variety of such sauces at your local store and there must be a ready market for it in order for so many different kinds to be sold readily. However, I would think that it is more because of the convenience it provides rather than preference for the taste.

Most of such mass produced store sold sauce do not taste as good as our homemade barbeque sauce recipe which consist of only all the fresh ingredients that we can get. On the other hand, barbeque sauce sold in the stores is manufactured with preservatives included because they have to last a long time. Thus, they are not as healthy as the sauce which we prepared on our own at home.

Take for example the sweetener that is used in these store sauces. Such products contain fructose corn syrup instead of natural sugar as they cost much less. The problem with such corn syrup is that it is a low quality food which cannot be broken down in our body system. They will end up as fats in our liver which is damaging to our health. Do you want such unhealthy products in our body system?

There is a solution to such problems, which is to prepare your own homemade barbeque sauce. Taking barbeque sauce is by no means a healthy food but don’t make it worse than it already is by consuming those with corn syrup. The original barbeque sauce is made with brown sugar or natural cane sugar which is way healthier for our body than corn syrup is. It also should include lots of herbs and spices to make it such a tasty sauce for your food that your friends will beg you to teach them how to do it. Now that you know the difference, get ready to prepare some homemade barbeque sauce this Christmas to awe your friends and relatives!

McRib Returns. End of the World Next?

No choice but to voice my opinion here.  I’ve “taste-tested” the McDonald’s McRib before, years ago when it was a menu staple at the Golden Arches.  I was curious.

In theory, I suppose, it may have seemed like a good idea to execs at McDonald’s back then.  “Appeal to barbeque loving America,” went the wisdom, or so I imagine.  Problem was, the rib “patty” that was passed off as barbeque ribs, or ribs subsititute, or whatever, was awful.  No matter how much barbeque sauce you put on the thing it’s just not going to work.  Should a decent barbeque rib be chewy?  The McRib was.

Look, I get it: you have to mass produce the stuff somehow in order to “McDonald-ize” it.  But the end result in this case didn’t work — at least to real barbeque loving folk.  (and if you’re reading this, I’ll assume you’re barbeque-loving.)

Yet here it comes again.  The McRib returns, and it’s not good news.
