Welcome to the Barbeque Sauce Recipe site! No doubt you’re here looking for a great homemade barbeque sauce recipe, and maybe some tips and ideas for grilling, and barbeque in general. We won’t disappoint. Soon we’ll be adding more content, but let’s get down to business…

Let’s start with a truly delicious homemade barbeque sauce recipe, one that was handed down to me years ago by a trusted friend. No promises were made at the exchange, save one: this recipe may very well change your life. Life-changing? Well…probably not — but I can guarantee that this recipe is a good one. Try it out for yourself on everything from burgers to steaks, then let me know what you think about this BBQ sauce recipe.

Here goes:

Prep: 15 minutes Cooking Time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup ketchup
1 cup molasses
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 clove garlic, minced
1/3 cup onion
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
1 small can tomato juice (5.5 ounces)
1 tablespoon liquid smoke

Preparation and Cooking:

1. This is easy. Puree everything on the above list to a nice smooth consistency in your blender.

2. Pour the mixture into a saucepan, and bring to a boil over high heat on the stove. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for an hour or so. Can be used immediately after heating. Refrigerate unused portion.

Are you organizing a backyard barbeque this weekend but you do not know how to make your grilled items taste better? Have you had bad experiences where your BBQ sessions failed because your grilled food taste bland but you just can’t seem to figure out what was missing? Try a homemade barbeque sauce recipe! That might just be the answer to your problem!

You may say that you did buy a bottle of barbeque sauce from the local store to add to the taste. However, what you do not realize is that commercially produced BBQ sauce will not taste as good as homemade sauce because there will be preservatives added in order to make it last longer. In addition, the ingredients added will also not be as fresh. If you prepare your own unique BBQ sauce, you can also add in the ingredients to your preference which will in turn make your grilled items taste better.

Another way in which you can enhance the taste of your food is by smoking the meats instead of grilling them. Traditionally, backyard barbeque involves using a smoker to cook the meat instead of using a grill. Depending on what kinds of smokers you decide to use, they can be using charcoal, wood chips or even electricity. The reason why some people prefer to use smokers is that the food tend to taste better. However, you can solve that problem by preparing some homemade barbeque sauce to go with the barbeque food.

If you have already bought a grill but want to try using a smoker to make your BBQ items tastier, you can try smoking small pieces of the seasoned meat on your grill. Instead of barbequing the pieces of meat in large chunks, cut them up in smaller pieces and smoke them on the grill. So how do you smoke meat without a smoker? Below are some tips to help you.

1. Soak a few pieces of wood in water for a few hours before starting your barbeque. When you are soaking the wood pieces, make sure they are totally submerged inside the water, otherwise it will not work well.

2. When you are ready to smoke the meat, put the pieces of wood that you had soaked in water earlier into a small pan made of tin. It should be something that you can dispose of after using because it would be very hard to clean it after use. Use pieces of aluminum foil to line the top rack of your grill and brush some oil on the foil. This will keep the meat from getting stuck onto the foil.

3. Once the grill is hot, you can place your seasoned meat pieces on the foil. On the lower rack of the grill, you will put in the pieces of wet wood chips. Sit back and relax while waiting for your food to cook in the grill.

4. Once the meat pieces are fully smoked, you can now remove them from the grill and dip them in your specially prepared homemade barbeque sauce recipe to add flavor to the nicely cooked items. Coupled with potato salad or cold slaw and baked beans, you will have a tasty dinner that will awe your friends and make them beg for more!

If you have the impression that having a barbeque is nothing more than throwing pieces of ribs onto the grill with a strong fire burning, you can’t be further from the truth. Besides applying homemade barbeque sauce on the ribs, there are also a few other steps which you need to take in order to have your guests awing over the tender, delicious ribs.

1. Selecting the ribs

Choosing the right type of ribs for your barbeque session is a skill in itself because each kind taste best in its own style of cooking. Your recipes should not be the same for the various ribs that you are intending to cook. If you have decided that you are going to cook spareribs, make sure you find out how you should prepare and cook it. Even the homemade barbeque sauce recipe should be specially prepared to go hand-in-hand with the spareribs to make it taste good.

You will also have to season the ribs well hours before barbequing them to ensure that the seasoning has been fully absorbed into the ribs. Otherwise it will not taste good. Rub the seasoning well on both sides of the ribs and then keep the ribs in the refrigerator for a few hours before the BBQ starts.

2. Initial cooking

Yes, in order for your BBQ ribs to taste good, you will need to carry out one round of initial cooking first. You can cook it in the crockpot for 8 – 10 hours first or bake it in an oven for around 8 hours before putting it on the burning grill. This will soften the ribs and ensure that the seasoning is thoroughly absorbed into the ribs to make it tastier.

3. Grilling

Once the ribs have been cooked to your preferred tenderness, it is now ready to be barbequed. Some people like to add a layer of homemade barbeque sauce over the ribs before putting the meat on the fire. Others prefer to dip the ribs into the sauce after the ribs had been fully grilled. Yet others carry out both ways before eating the ribs. The choice is yours.

As you can see from the above, in order to prepare tasty BBQ ribs, you will need to put in quite a bit of work and effort. However, you will be pleasantly rewarded with mouth-watering grilled ribs. Nevertheless, something which you cannot do without when you are barbequing ribs is preparing a homemade barbeque sauce recipe to go with it. Try it. You will love the results.

The best time for a social gathering with your family and friends is of course the Summer and Spring periods. And what is the best function to organize? A barbeque of course! If you have decided to organize a BBQ, the next thing that you will need is to learn how to make your own homemade barbeque sauce.

If you have been putting off learning how to make your own barbeque sauce recipe because you wonder at your ability at accomplishing such a task, you will be happy to learn today that it is really a very straightforward process. All you have to do is to learn the basics first, then you can mix and match the various ingredients to come up with your own unique homemade barbeque sauce.

If you recall your childhood days, there may be a particular homemade barbeque sauce that your family members are crazy over? Well, you can create one yourself and make it your identity which your own children can grow up with. So how do you make your own barbeque sauce then? Here are some tips to help you out.

Creating the base

The first thing that you need to learn to make is the ‘base’ for your BBQ sauce. You can use fruit puree, honey, ketchup or brown sauce to make the bases. Your main focus now is to ensure that you cook your base nicely, not too thick or runny. You do not have to be concern about the other ingredients at this point in time.

Balancing the acidity

Acidity in your homemade barbeque sauce serves the purpose of exciting the taste buds so you cannot have too much or too little. However, it is basically still a personal preference so create the sauce that you and your family will love. You can experiment a little to find the suitable taste by mixing in vinegars or fruits such as raspberry and apple. Try adding something that can give you the unique taste that you want.

Seasoning

Seasonings such as spices, pepper and salt will give your sauce its owns special taste so once again you should try adding them in varying quantities to find the taste that you want. Start by adding in small amounts and then slowly increasing the quantity until you reach the taste that you desire.

Thickeners

If you do not want to make the same mistakes as a lot of first-time BBQ sauce makers do, avoid the addition of thickeners such as flour, butter, cream and corn starch because these items will only destroy the taste of your homemade barbeque sauce.

Constant practice is vital to your success, so if you want to make very impressive and tasty homemade barbeque sauce, you have to try out numerous times until you get the taste that you want.

Are you someone who loves to grill out? If you are, then you should have some knowledge about making your own barbeque sauces. But are you still thinking of creating more tasty sauces for your family and friend? To obtain the best barbeque sauce recipe is quite impossible because there are just too many kinds of BBQ sauces that are fantastic out there.

Do you know how big the BBQ sauce plays a part in your grilling? To make your food taste extremely fine, you need to have a great and the right sauce to go with them. So if you are thinking of barbequing with just any sauce you can find or even without any sauce, you are making a big mistake as the whole barbeque will be ruined. I am not saying that getting ready made sauce is not ok, but it just doesn’t give you that kind of taste.

But what if you are not sure what is the best for you and your family. There are many avenues you can try out to get new recipe and tips to a tasty sauce. The first few attempts to a great tasty sauce are quite impossible as the amount of ingredients you should be putting is just not right. You simply need the practice as well as the experience before you can really succeed in preparing something that is welcome by your guests. Get your family and friends involve in tasting your homemade BBQ sauce and take note of their opinions. You should never be offended by their remarks even if it can be too hurting if you want to succeed. Get their precious opinion and make improvement and your BBQ sauce will definitely taste better in your next attempt.

When you have created your very own barbeque sauce recipe which is well like by you family and friends, will this be just the end of it? No, there are just too many kinds of sauces out there. Different people within a region have different taste, let alone people from different regions. You may even come to the stage whereby you will have the skill to make different BBQ sauces to go with different kinds of food. Take it easy and take each step one at a time, and I believe you should able to make more different kind of barbeque sauce recipe.

As far as I’m concerned, buying ready made barbeque sauce will never be able to compare with your very own homemade barbeque sauce. There are apparently many ways in which these barbeque sauces can be made and as such, many people are making their own secret barbeque sauce recipe. And the confusing part is that there are different kinds of sauce in different regions, adding to more and more different ways of making the sauce. Some people will like their sauce to taste a little sweeter while others may prefer the spicier ones.

When making your very own favorite barbeque sauce recipe, you should always be particular about the type of base. You should be choosing the type of base you’ve have always love. We do know that the most commonly used base is tomato ketchup and vinegar but they do have their positive and negative points.

If you are someone who loves to taste sweet and thick sauce, you would have to try the tomato-based barbeque sauce. BBQ sauces with tomato base are commonly found in the mid-west and the taste can surprise you as the mixture may not taste like tomato at all. Pepper, lemon and sugar are the common ingredients to be added with tomato-based BBQ sauces.

In spite of the fact that vinegar-based sauces are mostly watery, they can be quite tasty. The taste of these vinegar-based sauces is very unique and it seems quite impossible to find another ingredient which can give you that kind of taste. Onions, cayenne and paprika are the common ingredients which can be mixed with vinegar-based sauces.

If you someone who live in a region where spicy food is preferred, you may like to look at mustard-based sauces. Mustard-based sauces are considered the spiciest among the other kinds of sauce. The taste of such based sauce cannot be clearly defined as they can be blended with different kind of flavoring. One good point is that mustard-based sauce can also be mixed with vinegar or tomato to add on the flavor while at the same time, maintain its own mustard-based taste. Common ingredients to be mixed with such sauces are onions, fruits and cayenne.

To name all the ways in which you can prepare your homemade BBQ sauce can be difficult. But the bright side is that you can learn from many tips out there. Although there are many undisclosed recipes which you are unable to lay your hand on, there are many great recipes available online. To learn from others is good, but what is better is that you can try and come up with your very own secret barbeque sauce recipe which you can be proud of.

Many people homemade their sauce using their own barbeque sauce recipe and this actually gives a lot of satisfaction when the sauce is enjoyed by the guests. To learn how to make your homemade BBQ sauce is not difficult and in fact, it can be easily learnt. The fun part is that after learning the way to make them, you can start to be creative and create you very own recipe by adding or deleting certain ingredients to fit your own or your guests’ taste.
